Koi Atlantic is the manifestation of Julian Dreyer's absolute passion for Koi. Starting as a Koi hobbyist in 1994, Julian formed Koi Atlantic Aquaculture cc in 2000 and as CEO, he has developed the operation and facilities to what we believe is the biggest and best Koi outlet in Cape Town.

Current facilities include 10 selling ponds, 2 small mud ponds, tategoi ponds, spawning ponds and huge display ponds all situated in a 2 acre garden setting in the mountains of Hout Bay.

Strict regular maintenance programs ensure that all ponds provide excellent living conditions for their fish populations and can be enjoyed by visitors to our premises.

An important part of the operation is the upgrading and regular servicing of client ponds to assist hobbyist in enjoying these wonderful creatures.

We also sell and deliver the very high quality imported Koi food which we feed to our own fish.

We are currently involved in a joint venture with a farm in Somerset West where we have 2 mud ponds of a million litres each at our disposal for growing on of fry. During the 2006 season these ponds produced excellent Sanke and Doitsu Sanke tosai and various metallic Koi. The main purpose of this venture is to export small Koi to Switzerland where we have established an important contact.
